Welcome guys!
I see that you've found my blog so let’s get started!
As many of you know, I've never left the U.S....ever. Unless you count Mexico which I kinda don't so we're gonna stick with never. As the days count down to my official flight out of here, I am excited & nervous and everything in between. I mean how can I leave my home, leave my family and friends behind to embark on a journey on my own?! Well... I'm just doing it and not looking back or doubting any decision I've made up until this point. I've always dreamed of traveling the world and here I am actually doing it. They always say dream big, well...I'M TRAVELING THE WORLD. That's pretty big, especially for a local Big island girl who's never experience life outside of Hawaii nevertheless on the opposite side of the world! I don't think I ever imagined myself traveling the world alone or with complete strangers that I'll meet through studying abroad but it's happening...and I have to constantly remind myself that it's no longer a dream and that this is an opportunity that I am extremely grateful for!
A huge shout out to my parents for their encouragement and unconditional support, my Uncle Doug for always making my dreams comes true and experiencing them with me (yes, he's dropping me off in Europe to make sure I'm safe but I think it's just so he can take a trip to Europe...but don't tell him I said that haha...) and my amazing boyfriend for supporting my decision in leaving him behind to travel half way around the world (don't worry sweets I'll be back!). If you can't tell by now, I am a very, very lucky girl and I thank God everyday for all the blessings he's given me and continues to give me. Anyways, this is getting kinda lengthy...and we all know most of you hate reading long stories... so I'll end it here. My next post will be when I'm getting on the plane that will finally take me to MILAN, ITALY!!!!!
until then,
xoxo
